On 02/27/24, I called Toro with questions concerning various marketing terms that they use on their new lawn mowers advertised on the website. It took forever to find the customer service phone number.

After calling customer service, the person I reached was pleasant but poorly trained and anything but willing to listen to my questions. Instead of transferring me to someone in marketing or sales who could answer my inquiries, she guessed at what one of the terms was by using the same words to define the term. When I responded with another question, she was not paying attention to my question and asked if there was anything else. I stated that I had just asked another question.

Why do I have to ask a question that ends with "I just asked you a question"? Very poorly trained customer service! To think, I was getting ready to look for and purchase a brand new Toro lawn mower to replace my 30-year-old Toro mower. After looking at the reviews on your website concerning Toro experiences and the unfriendly customer service, I have no choice but to look for another competitor with extremely fine customer service and who represents his/her company well with answering all customer inquiries related to buying a new lawn mower.

I did not create the marketing terms that Toro uses. They did. I could not locate a page on their website listing what the various marketing terms mean. Obviously, management saw that as un-needed.

I must be the only person who has ever asked what their various marketing terms on new lawn mowers mean.

After reading the various posted experiences and reviews of Toro, I now have my answer. Very poor management and very poorly trained customer service!

Mower won't start only used once

I bought the mower on 2/14/24 and started cutting the lawn. I used the mower less than an hour and it stalled I cannot get it started after many attempts.

I checked gas & oil. No problem. Changed the fuse. Didn't help.

I charged the battery. No help. I made sure nothing was caught under the blade. Nothing there.

I finally called Vito's Toro Certified shop and they had to verify the warranty coverage for the mower I will be calling them today to have them pick up the mower (which will cost me $40 for p/u & delivery). I tried calling Toro multiple times to get someone to talk to for help. You have a great voice mail system, which just spun me around and spit me out. No help what so ever.

I gave your company a 1 rating, but frankly it's a zero. I am sorry I bought your product, not only because it failed to perform, but you customer support is so unsatisfactory.

By the way, I am retired and it took me 6 months of sewing to save the money to buy your mower. I hope you can understand how frustrated and angry I am.

Mower won't start only used once

I just bought my Toro lawn mower last Wednesday and used it for less than an hour. It stalled and will not start.

I tried registering it yesterday and after about eight attempts, I gave up. For whatever reason, your website on my phone would not take my information. I used my computer this morning and I think it got registered--not sure. I tried calling your phone number yesterday and got nowhere as far as trying to get some technical help.

I tried your website this morning and got nowhere, except I did get the name of a Toro repair shop.

I sent them an email and I suppose they are closed, since I have gotten no answer. I paid over $500 for the mower and I am so disappointed, not only in the product, but I the lack of service and support.

Spent about 45 minutes trying to get a real person on the phone. I tried multiple numbers but would get the “chat “ reply.
Total waste of time. Plus they would charge 5.00$ to talk to someone.
What a waste of time and I will let everyone I know it was a waste of time.
